Kata?
What is your favorite kata? This can be either karate or kobudo. No one seems to know?
I have a lot, but primarily these
1.) [Goju-ryu] Seisan
2.) Anan
3.) Tomari Passai
Ohh.. and last but not least
4.) Naihanchi Shodan [I learned it directly under Choki Motobu's son, Chosei Motobu at a seminar ...

Hello
Hello all, my name is Alexander Garcia.
although I'm not much of a Uechi-ryu practitioner, I am interested in almost every style and sub-style of karate-do.
Especially, Uechi-ryu, Ryuei-ryu, Shito-ryu, and Goju-ryu.

Seiko Toyama Sensei
I was wondering where [Seiko] Toyama Sensei trains? Where and what is his dojo called? I haven't been able to find much of anything on him...

Hmmm...
I think that if a junior black belt has the maturity and the passion to become the best. And to practice humility towards others... They SHOULD be allowed to have a black belt...
Yes, I know everyone has seen those Junior Black-belts who goof off and don't know when / when not to behave...
THOSE Jr ...

Yup!
Well I'll just say this... some girls are made to do karate
and other girls aren't [some girly-girls; no offense]
girly-girls can do karate just not very well... [again no offense]
To truly "know" karate, you have to know yourself, and you can't be self-conscious about yourself...

Very Interesting...
As interesting as I find it... I do not see as many women/girls in the martial arts [mostly karate] above 15, I wonder why that is?...
I teach karate so I know who usually sticks with it.. and who won't stick with it... out of 345 karateka at my dojo, there is only 38 girls, most of which only go ...

Sanseiryu???
How did Uechi-ryu get Sanseiryu? Was this a kata that was made up or learned from another instructor....?
I know Sanseiryu [Goju-ryu]... why are the two kata with the same name & meaning so different...?
Any information would be greatly appreciated...
Truly, Alex G.
