Definitely the first or third. Either would be considered either assault with a deadly weapon, attempted murder, manslaughter or murder.
Simply beating him up could be at worse aggravated assault; however, assuming that he is just at fault in provoking a physical confrontation the odds are it will ...

Bye bye, Miss American Pie
Bill said: "I applaud the attempt of your attorney to shield you from prison with his "everybody is a victim" defense."
I agree with most of your post except for this. I agree that a person deserves a defense, but I believe that the defense needs to be a reasonable one. I, for one, am very tired of ...

Hello
Wow do I have stuff to catch up on! I haven't been able to get to the message boards in a very long time, as I am sure you know. Everytime I tried to get to www.uechi-ryu.com or the direct address to the message boards I would simply time out! It was very frustrating. Hopefully, this new state of ...

Tee-Bee (Tae-Bo?) #2
Tae Bo and kickboxing aerobics may end up being a blessing in disguise. I know a ton of schools are switching over to this latest fad, and it is just a fad. Sooner of later it will blow over, so the question is will these schools be able to convert back? Will the be able to convert back quickly ...

"To this end, I have a question for the group: What is it about sparring (or any other aspect of your martial training) that you find most rewarding, frightening, puzzling, and/or boring?"

Tea-Bee
The Tae Bo tapes specficailly state: "learning self defense while getting into shape." There can be little doubt that they are marketing this as a means of self defense. In any event, it is probably irrelevent. Anybody who has taken Tae Bo will just freeze and be killed so their "technique" won't ...

sparring
I think that is because if a woman has to defend herself they will likely be defending themselves against a man. And most people equate sparring with self defense practice (which isn't unwarrented).

A few things.

Here we go again ... you all know what I am talking about.
"And did i get anywhere at karate..well, i quitted before being proclaimed a master, but
my teacher was not correcting me"
Out of pure morbid curiousity why did you "quitted" (sic) if this were something you saw as a way of life? What ...

Preserving the core and stimulating progress.
They say the Kyokushin style is in trouble. It seems all to often that organizations split into two or more organizations. They say it won't be long before it practically won't exist anymore. They say that maybe Sosai Oyama wanted it that way. I don't know if that last is true or not, but if it is ...

The eyes have it
The "Uechi Glare" or "Kyokushin Glare" as I like to call it http://www.xpres.net/~gmattson/ubbs/wink.gif transcends eye contact itself, although certainly everything posted so far is informative and accurate! The glare (regardless of flavour!) has to encompass an entire demeanour and body language ...

A *very* light subject (not serious at all)
I got into a friendly debate with some buddies over the weekend that I thought was amusing at any rate. I would love to hear this esteemed panels opinion on this most profound subject: Superman (the Man of Steel) and the martial arts.
The question to be answered is: Would Superman benefit from ...

Steve Morris
The rather obvious question is what does Mr. Morris have to offer? So far his offering is I know something you don't know but I won't tell you publically because "there would be no point". Why is he afraid to discuss his enlightening way publically? Is he afraid it will come under ridicule from his ...

I do admit that my messages have focused on the "shocking" part of his site, which perhaps is a tad bit unfair ... but well, if you post in public I guess you have to be ready for that.
