During previous holiday breaks the classes I've ...

Seichin Blocks
Hi All!
I'm sure this has been talked about before, but searching on and reading past posts was leading me no where.
I'm looking for other applications of the "Seichin Blocks" (i.e. circle/scooping block).
Thinking about it I can see where it could be used in dan kumite #4 (side step and throw ...

Rotator Cuff
Mary,
A quote off a website:
"Whether you want to call it a frozen shoulder, a rotator cuff tear or tendonitis shoulder, it's really all the same. A tear or strain in the rotator cuff muscles and tendons."
I had a "frozen shoulder" about 5 years ago. I tried physical therapy, Motrin (Ibuprofen ...

Training Alone
Brian,
I think TSDguy and Malcom have the right idea. While solo training will help you to remember your katas and kumites, unless you have training partners it can get a little repetitious and stale after a while. We all start off with the best of intentions, but.... Theirs nothing wrong in ...

Repetitive MA's classes. What to do?
Hello,
I'm a long time student at a successful Uechi school in N.E. Lately it seems that classes cycle through periods of getting candidates ready for testing or periods that are dominated by aerobics. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good workout (something I do outside of class 2/3 times a week ...

University of Michigan??
Hello,
I have a friend who studies Uechi and will be attending the University of Michigan in the fall. Are their any teachers or schools in the area. I checked the Instructor listings, but some of them don't show an address and I don't know how far away some of the schools might be.
Thanks
dave
