(Sorry Bill if I may) I have yet to be able to get any picture on my computer down to the pixel size and kb size (17). I'm cropped and turned to black and white. Any advice. I see nice looking avatars on folks but can't seem to duplicate them.

Steve

It's been a looooong time since I did my own.

I recall using Photoshop-like software to reduce the size of a picture. Once you get it down to the right size, then you can upload it. It takes a bit of trial and error, but you can eventually get what you need.

Maybe someone here will volunteer their services to adapt a photo of your choice, or give you some pointers.

I did mine with MS Paint.

Picture attributes. Shrink it down by anywhere from 1%, or blow it up by as much as 999%, I think. Never tried to blow a picture up that big.

Come to think of it, I've been using this avatar a long time. Maybe it's time to switch. Doesn't seem right to use it anyway.

This is the image I was trying to get small enough to work. It's down to 168 kb's but can't get any smaller without being just a head shot of maybe me and not Master Nakamatsu. It looks much larger here cuz I sent it to photobucket then transeferred it here. Any more advice would be appreciated.

I give up. I can't get the picture to show in the post. Just follow the link...

I can make it smaller.
