Sorry Bill-san

Just feeling snippy today...my fault on the first line...forgot the little winking eye guy. However, I still feel we are drifting a bit too far from the point sparring we were discussing. Perhaps another thread on the use of gi's in grappling and sparring would be good. I know I have aired my disappointment before that grabbing is not allowed in most tournaments.

No problem, Shelly. Compared to many (myself included), your disposition is just fine. And I understand your frustration. This is already a long thread in danger of losing focus.

Van Sensei

I'm surprised reading down through the posts and not seeing any comments from you. You are something of our standard in realism in training. Would you be kind enough to share your thoughts and opinions on this topic, particularly on the integration of bouncing into point sparring?

I'm ending this due to length, and will continue in a new thread.
