To all: The previous thread was getting rather long and difficult to load and read just when it was getting fun. Do not stop now!

An update to Van sensei: John Lott Jr. is currently a senior research scholar at the Yale University Law School. His credentials are impeccable. His statistics are irrefutable. And yes, the anti-rights crowd hate him and bash his book even though they have likely never taken the time to actually read it.

Now, back to the regularly scheduled thread....
