Thanks for the encouragement;

As for the best way to promote a club..well first remember that marketing is an ongoing system never a one shot static event. (that's an ad run)

I think one of the most important needs is the design of a 'brand'....for example the logo on your school building (or community flyer if you are in a local community hall, etc) should match the crest on your uniform, business cards etc.

If you are in an area with a number of schools than this is doubly important. Most uniforms are white, so what makes the distinction between your club and any others?

Business cards are a must and should be given out freely; shoot for 10-15 a day. Most people don't throw cards away, they stick around for future (posible) reference.

Your quality of teaching will help create a positive reputation, however you still need to get the word out to others to fill the classes. Try the local press. Contact the sports department, or community affairs to get an article written on your club.
You can also write on yourself and submit it. (articles are needed to fill the gaps between the advertisments!)

These are some very basic ideas to help kick start the marketing campaign...
