A 3 hour, Defensive Counterknife Seminar will be held January 22nd, 2005 in Ellensburg Washington, 3 to 6pm at the Central Washington School of Karate,
400 West 5th St.
The seminar covers curriculum in defensive knife orientation, safety, drills, tactics and form taught in a condensed package to accelerate learning when opportunity is at a minimum in today's busy world.
Taught by Guro Ken Smith Jr. and assisted by James Pointere of Advanced Martial Systems-NW and Jet City JKD in Renton Washington. A Jeet Kune Do, Filipino Arts, Goju and Sambo stylist, Guro Smith also is Wash. St. Dir of the WRCMA an organization dedicated to the advancement of research in the arts and personal growth.
Cost is $25. Students should wear comfortable clothing; bring water, a note pad and a training knife. Training knives will also be available at the seminar for use during the event.
The seminar is hosted by CWS-K and Sensei Sue Young, an accomplished 5th degree Black belt in Shudokan Karate under Master Morris Mack of Yakima, Washington.
