Uechi Junior tournaments in New England

Alas, if this had been one of the previous 4 years we would be gearing up for the first tournament of the NE Jr. tourney series.

Darin has expressed a desire to get teachers together and see what we can do to revive this event and time will tell what the effort will yield.

I guess no one who spent time competing remembers the excitement, frustration, elation, exhaustion and more importantly the friendships that were forged through competition.

Disappointing that we can't provide this for our junior students today.

I know I have some disappointed kids.

I really thought someone would step up to the plate.

I'm going to have an inhouse tournament at some point, I'll invite a couple friends schools.

I'll have to look around for a good open event or two as well.

Fred,

Call me! I know my son will be happy to compete and I can likely bring a few others with me from Tewksbury.

Len,

Excellent job today. Everything flowed well, no issues that I was aware of, and it finished at a reasonable hour allowing everyone to do whatever else they needed to do today - I even got in a full round of golf.

I know my kids had a super time and thank you for keeping Junior Uechi competition alive in the northeast!
