Nick Adler's
"Samurai Spirit"
A Traditional Invitational
Japanese Okinawan
Karate Tournament

Date: Sunday March 4, 2001
Location: Comsewogue High School,
Port Jefferson Station, L. I., New York

More info here: Samurai Spirit

New Englanders can take the Bridgeport Conn. ferry which will bring you right into Port Jefferson. A few miles south on rt 112 then a right at the Getty gas station and the school is on the left side. I never see any Uechi guys at this tournament.

NYC folk can take the LIE to exit 63. North to rt 112 then hang a left a few miles till you see that same Getty gas station. Make a left and about a mile on the left side is the school.

More info on the site.

Tony, if you were still here you'd be about 7 minutes away or less. I'm one town down in Coram off of 112.

I'm most likely going to enter this tournament. I just don't know what belt to where. Can't go as a white. Probably should go as a green. I probably won't fight cause I ****** at it (right now).

I hope some Uechi folk from Conn. or NYC show up. I never see any. Maybe I'll luck out this year.

Snow is finally melting though we still have plenty around.

Fred: Actually... no.. hah! It's going to be in the 80's here today! I think not of the cold...

Scott: Hey... maybe I can come up sometime and train with you and visit some of my family. This summer maybe?

That would be super cool. I didn't realize you still had family here. Hopefully, I will be out of this 1 bedroom piece of ****. We are trying for a house.
