The Kali Seminar at the BUKA has been rescheduled for Friday, November 2, 2001 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Mat fee will be $10.

Raffi Derderian will be conducting this special empty handed defense against knives and sticks.

By holding this in Brockton, we are trying to make this special 2 hour seminar available to all martial artists from New Hampshire to Rhode Island.

Due to the terrorists kidnapping of American airplanes with box cutters and knives, I feel it is imperitive for all martial artists of any style to learn what Raffi will be teaching.

If you wish to attend please post your intentions here, or call the BUKA at
508-583-2122, or e-mail BrocktonUKA@aol.com

Class space will be limited to the first 20 people who sign up.

Sounds great Raf.
I would like to have a discussion with you about getting you to my dojo to teach knife defense.

See you on the third.

Maybe these posts should go under the seminar announcement, but if we have this one at the Buka and then have a follow up a month later at Joes dojo we can learn even more! I'm going to Lennys and count me in for Joes follow up.

The seminar is 7:00 - 9:00 PM and is $10 per student.
I like the idea of having Raffi come up to the area once a month if he can fit it into his schedule.

Van Sensei told me at the test Sunday he would be coming. I am honored to have such an elite group coming to one of my seminars. I hope everyone comes away happy.

Raffi,

Sensei Brian MacDonald just e-mailed me about his intentions of attending.

I received a call last night that two of Bob Bethoney's students are planning to attend.

There is still space available but it is going quick.

We will try to accept anyone who can come at the last minute but please try to call first in case we have too many. Image

See you on Friday

Len,
Super to hear that Brian Sensei is coming. I think we will have a respectable turnout.
I will post this on Van Sensei's forum as well. Gi's are optional at my seminar and in fact, I discourage them. I would prefer to see everyone in either street clothes or sweatpants and tee shirts. If you feel you want to wear you gi, no problem. It does change things when you don't have it on.
