"Seize and Control" is known for its effectiveness in restraining opponents through its techniques of locking joints or muscles/tendons, thereby setting up the next step of strikes, cavity presses and other potential damage to opponents. In this workshop you will learn to defend against grabs, holds and chokes, and to immobilize assailants with effective subduing and controlling techniques. Minimum force is used, relying instead on superior knowledge of leverage, momentum, angulation and redirection to effect the pressure point and lock methods. Chinese Qin Na is the root of the Japanese martial arts of Aikido and Jujitsu and is part of most Chinese martial styles. It is a useful addition to any martial style. Dr. Yang is famous for his Qin Na techniques derived from his White Crane and Long Fist background. Many have studied his books and videotapes. However, to grasp the subtle techniques of Qin Na you must learn and feel the technique directly from an expert. All levels, newcomer to advanced, are welcome.
