Holding things sacred

What is enshrined in a sacred place
is at root our act
of holding something sacred.

Holding sacred comes from
connecting with and loving something
and keeping what we love inviolate.

Only that can ensure
the health of all Creation
essential to our well-being.

Places, like people, draw sustenance
from how they are held in our hearts.

"A place reserved, held apart, can act as a touchstone to our existance, reconnecting us with our inner strength and the life force energy which supports our vitality. Create a place in your community where people can let go of the rush of everyday events, breathe deeply, touch the peace of connectedness, and remember the power of love for our well-being."

...for wonderfully clarifying my intent

thank you Sean C.

i have been facilitating a zen sitting group in our small town for 3+ years. mercifully, few people have come, but i am so thankful for those who have. sustaining my dry and lonely practice...what i would not have done for myself.

this sacred place is everywhere and nowhere

with a bow, mugaku

Thank you, Sean,

... for a most gentle reminder of things sacred.

Welcome back, mugaku ....

The thought manifests as the word,
The word manifest as the deed ...
The deed develops into habit,
And habit hardens into character.

So watch the thought and it ways with care,
And let it spring from love,
Born out of concern for all beings.

As the shadow follows the body,
As we think, so we become.

Glad you guys liked it. I'm quoting from a feng shui calendar made by a company called "amber lotus" out of San Francisco. I don't even use calendars, but the pictures and text are cool. I'll post some more.

"As the shadow follows the body,
As we think, so we become."

scary stuff...who's in control? is there control? whoops! and what about mistakes? who's are they? does spelling count?

its not a question of adequacy,
but perhaps:
great faith, great doubt, great determination
...out of which arises great humility and great compassion among other things

peace and terror let go for being
