Nothing to do with the martial arts...everything to do with a man who realizes that he has the potential to be far greater than he is.

Definitely worth the admission.

Jake ... I've heard that this movie is real depressing ... is it better off as a rental when the sun shines again or should we see it on the big screen?

I found it mildly entertaining. My son liked it, but he likes comic books. And, since the film took a tangent of the underlying fantasy/reality of comics, he really enjoyed it. He is ten years old and comtemplating the world and his place it. Therefore, the following topics also piqued his interests:

* We all have potential -- realized and otherwise.
* We all have sacraficed.
* We all have demanded, perhaps, more than we should of those we love.
* We all have experienced a disjointedness with ourselves and those around us.
* We all have found ourselves on one side or the other of good and evil.

The film touches on these but not to any depth with any one of them.

Well, I like comics, and still contemplate some of those issues.

That's either a gauge of my mental maturity, or of david's sons...you decide which

I didn't find it particularly depressing, no. There's certainly some moments of sadness, but not enough to warrant avoiding it.

On the other hand, it's nothing that's going to be particularly enhanced by seeing it on the big screen, so if you wanted to wait for a rental, you wouldn't lose any of the experience.
