Dan Gadowski, who works at the hospital Clarence is in, calls me daily with updates. He is doing much better. The doctors are trying to get him to walk with the aid of crutches. He has a little numbness in one of his legs which the doctors are watching, but other than that, he is coming along very well. Still no idea when he will be discharged.

I don't know him personally, but from what you all have written, he sounds like a very strong man. I'm sure he will be fine and will come out of this situation a winner and a true warrior.

Sensei Mattson:

Clarence is gaining strength slowly and expects to be discharged tomorrow. Meanwhile, the personal visits, phone calls, cards, letters, flowers, gifts and fruit baskets continue to pour in from all over North
America (and Hong Kong!). I believe they have done his heart good and helped in his recovery. I will update you as soon as possible on a phone number and address where he can be reached during his recuperation.

Regards,

Rex Nowell, karate-ka

Thanks for the info George. I have refrained from visiting him per your request to help speed his recovery, and glad he is feeling better.
