DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES?

I just returned from the annual ILEETA conference where I was approached by three different people who let me know that one or more 'former' employees of Blauer Tactical contacted them in an effort to solicit business.

In two instances I was told that our corporate name and the individual's personal relationship with me was used to initiate the phone call. In one case, it wasn't until 3 emails and 2 phone calls later did they realize I wasn't involved or affiliated with this person or their product.

I would imagine the phone call or email would've gone differently if it started with:

"I no longer work with BTS, nor do I have any affiliation with them, also, I'm contacting you specifically because you are a Blauer customer and I know how to reach you because I'm using a copy of the BTS database from when I worked there - BTW, I want to sell you something..."

I'm all for free-enterprise but there's a big difference between 'capitalism' and 'capitalizing' -- no one should be entitled to use another's research, concepts, designs or contact lists for personal gain without authorization.

I've worked for over 30 years sharing my research with the tactical community. We are supposed to live our lives embracing warrior virtues like honor, loyalty, & integrity, which makes this behavior even more reprehensible.

I'm calling on all my warrior colleagues to share this email and linked letter with their trusted colleagues.

Of course rumors continue to surface, so if I can answer questions about the above matter, do not hesitate to contact me.

Also if you have received contact from my former employees, please forward it to me so I may pass it along to our legal team.
