Sadly, couple of days ago, Lewis announced on his Facebook page, that he had brain cancer, and was given from 6 to 8 weeks to live.

Indeed Stevie, the only way to look at it.

Who'd ever expect something like that to happen to Joe.

It goes to show that there are no guarantees for our next tomorrow...matters not who we think we are and how old.

I only hope he goes without pain and peacefully. :(

Joe has undergone surgery to remove a tumor in his left frontal lobe . He is at home preparing for chemotherapy to prevent a reoccurance. He is in good spirits and doing well. He thanks all of you for your prayers and positive words. Joe will be at the Joe Lewis Fighting Research Confrence in October.

Joe has always enjoyed spending time and training with the Uechi Ryu family at Summerfest. He speaks fondly our experiences at The Mass Maritime Academy (accept for the bunk beds...lol).

AGAIN THANK YOU FOR YOUR KIND WORDS AND CONTINUED PRAYERS AND SUPPORT THROUGH THIS, HIS GREATEST CHALLENGE.................

Robb...please _ Give Joe all my very best wishes for a speedy recovery...he shall remain in our prayers.
