Tsutomu Nakahodo Sensei, 10th Dan Hanshi, designated by the Japanese Government a, Living Intangible Cultural Treasure of karate.
I am very happy to report that he has been designated for the title of ‘intangible Cultural Treasure’ by the Japanese Government.
He is but a handful of Karateka to be considered for such an honor. The title resonates his lifetime dedication and service to the art of Okinawan Karate.

The next edition of CFA magazine will include an interview of Tsutomu Nakahodo Sensei, 10th Dan Hanshi Uechi Ryu and Intangible Cultural Treasure of his nation.
Nakahodo Sensei was incredibly frank, charming, and informative during the interview which followed Friday morning training for CFA Spring Seminar (2012) members at the Okinawa Prefectural Budokan in Naha City, Japan.
My most heartfelt congratulations, Sensei, extremely well deserved.
