On May 18th a Dan test promotional was held at the fabulous dojo of Bob Bethoney sensei in Hanson Mass. The dojo was packed with candidates and their families.

Owner and Chief Instructor of the Brockton Uechi-Ryu Karate Academy(BUKA)_ a most beautiful, enlarged dojo in a very nice and safe part of Brockton_ was tested for the rank of Kyoshi Nanadan and passed with flying colors. Len Testa is a student of Bob Bethoney who is affiliated with Soke.

I am happy to say that I also cross trained him specifically in body mechanics for power generation, and he indeed made me proud with his snapping, cracking performance of Seisan and Sanseiryu.

All of us as students have individual ways of executing Uechi movements,and in Lenny's case_ his performance, coupled with his extreme conditioning_ reminded me of a 'raging bull' on the floor.
