We are lucky to have Sensei Hwee once again at the Bridgewater Dojo on Tuesday June 17...7 to 9 PM.

Sensei Hwee has been coming up often and he is a fabulous teacher with techniques that blend well with Uechi Ryu.

[quote]Mr. Hwee began his Martial arts training at the age of twelve earning his belts in Kung-Fu and Tae Kwon Do. He trained extensively and became proficient in particular, in the styles of Shaolin Kempo (Five Animals), Wing Chun, Chin Na, Chi Kung. While an undergraduate at Boston College in 1980, he founded and was the chief instructor of the Boston College Kung Fu Club until 1987. Since 1982 he has been an instructor with the Boston College Shotokan Club. In 1996, Mr. Hwee began his formal training in Shotokan under the direct instruction of Grandmaster Kazumi Tabata.

He has been actively involved as an instructor with the NAKF and NECKC and is the Chief instructor at the Boston University Karate Club. Currently, He conducts extensive Self Defense seminars with emphasis on utilizing pressure points, trapping, distancing and energy. Mr. Hwee trains under Grandmaster Dr. John M. So O.M.D. to refine his skills in Chi Kung, Kung Fu, and Tai Chi Chuan while continuing his Shotokan training under Grandmaster Kazumi Tabata./quote]

His Chin Na trapping techniques are something to watch...and he has incredibly fast hands behind his distancing and timing skills, that usually end up with choking you out before you realize what's happening.

All welcome to this special workout. If you want to learn something extremely useful for sparring and street defense, you really want to be there.

Tomorrow night...In addition to sensei Hwee at our West Bridgewater dojo, we will have Joe Graziano, the top American student of the late Gushi sensei, and presently still the student of Walter Mattson, Judan.

Both sensei Hwee and Joe are the 'real deal' with exceptional skills.

Feel free to attend the class...6 to 8 PM at 20 West St. West Bridgewater Mass.

Sensei Fedele Cacia will also be there and we all will get a chance to see him perform a technically perfect and very powerful kata that matches his fighting abilities.

Sensei Graziano will also perform his wonderfully precise and powerful Sanseiryu.
