Art has been working on this site for a while and with the help of Tracy Rose sensei, it is now up and running on you tube.

I have started this thread here because there is much to learn from this old warrior.

http://artrabesauechikarate.com/close-quarter-combat/

Peruse through the site and ask/discuss concepts etc.

Lots to learn from a no nonsense Uechi 'strongman'

Wow. . . it was only a few years ago that we were able to get Art to use a cell phone. You should have heard what he said about computers!!!! :)

Now. . . we have one of the best martial art site on the internet and it is focusing on Uechi-ryu. I went through the whole site and was most impressed with the dept of knowledge and experience contained in this truly remarkable website.

And. . . the information contained in the site has been written in a clear and concise manner that will aid students and teachers of all ranks on their road to understanding regarding our wonderful art and science.

So. . . bookmark the site and be sure to visit it often.

Great job Art. Have fun and great success with your new site.

George

Hanshi Kyudan_ Arthur Rabesa is one of the most versatile martial artists I have had the privilege to work with over a lifetime of Uechi Ryu karate study and practice. He has been the most dedicated of all in the analysis of the various components of this Okinawan system and a tireless researcher into the mechanics of this art.

He is a KO specialist at any range. When he first joined my sparring class many moons ago, he could bench press 400 pounds.

He is widely respected by the Okinawan masters in his power approach of the system all connected to Sanchin.

His vast knowledge and experience in true traditional Okinawan Karate Do is perfectly complimented by his real street experience making his techniques spectacularly effective. Few Martial artists today have the combination of these two worlds to draw from to create a masterful teaching approach in person _ via his excellent books he has written _and via this web site he just completed. He is an inspiration to us all.

I am proud to have known him since our early years of training, and even prouder to count him amongst the very best of my friends.
