I'm not sure how to go about this, maybe Mr. Mattson can help. I trained at the original Mattson Academy as a young teen back in 1973,74,75 and have bounced around in the arts. Some of my training is bringing me back to my roots and I would love to get in contact with a couple of people that were a positive influence on me back then. Namely Bob Campbell and Darrin Yee. Any info would be appreciated.
Thankyou, Mario

Bob Campbell lives in Hong Kong.

Darin still teaches Uechi-ryu & other Chinese martial arts in Quincy, MA.

Good to hear from you again after such a long time. Good luck with your training. Stay in touch.

Thank you for the info and Darin's email address. I will look him up. What is your opinion on buying a dvd to start working on my uechi kata again, if yes which would be the best one to purchase. I got up to hanshu when I was training but I don't think we called it that back then. Did it have a different translation (daniseisan???). Or has 30+ years got the best of my memory.
Once again thank you for your response

Mario.

the store is full of very basic uechi dvds.

The most popular is the Uechi "overview" dvd. Not really a teaching dvd, but a system overview that fairly demonstrates everything in our basic system.

The VidMag 18 series is very basic stuff, designed for new students through green belt and some stuff in "D" for brown belts.

If you have any specific questions, just email me.
