European Armies

Post by JOHN THURSTON »

Hi

you might take the hint from "the last days of charlemange" a waffen SS Division made up of frenchmen being one of the last surviving SS division in the last great ground battle in the west.

Did these "landsers" believe themselves parts of a "Pan Europaean Army"

How many such divisions were there. How good were they. Did the take commands from AH only, or from whomever of rank was in the area.

Were there other such Pan European forces, equally large in scope?
