Medieval Combat

Post by MikeK »

Hey all,
Barnes and Noble has it in hard cover for $7.98. If you have never heard of the book it's a translation of "A fifteenth-century manual of swordfighting and close-quarter combat" by Hans Talhoffer.

This book shows how advanced Western close-quarter combat techniques were before fire arms took over. Going through the book you'll notice some very familiar techniques found in other arts. Surprisingly you'll see how many bo and tonfa techniques translate to the long sword. At $8 this is a great buy.
I was dreaming of the past...
