Virus attack very real... Check your computers!

Post by gmattson »

Susan found five viruses on her computer. I had two on my laptop and none on my main desktop. Susan and I use Zone Alarm (the free version) on our laptops and they both said "No problem". However, after reading Al's post about using "Panda" to check his computer, I had Panda check out our machines. Much to my surprise, it caught viruses that were missed by Zone Alarm.

Thanks Al....

The cute little bear was probably so successful because his virus definitions are updated almost as soon as new ones are discovered, even on a daily basis, while firewalls and other protection software loaded locally onto PCs often lag behind.

Wait till that stuff starts getting into peoples internet bank accounts, and it will. All Hell is going to break loose then.

How do you get rid of the tough ones Al?

My two machines are clean... But Susan's laptop has two "bears" that Panda was unable to get rid of.

Any suggestions?
