Anthony,

Maybe you can help. I recently got a cardinal 3250 56K (with the v.90) and for some reason, It looks like things are actually slower. More like a bottle neck or something. I just tried another number, got on at only 31.2 (as opposed to 48000 to 51.2) and now the pages are loading faster. I am using AOL and it even bottlenecks on there.

Is there a "tweak" to the commands I can do or is it an AOL thing?

Thanks,
Scott

Right now I am connected at 28.8 because of the number I dialed. The pages load quick. When I connect (from another number) at 48.0 or better, I get a lot of pauses. Even on AOL. ie: instead of the page just popping up on screen as is at a 28.8 connection, there are these pauses and when the screens do load, I don't see any speed difference. I did dl a file from AOL's library to see if it was faster but I couldn't tell really. When I dl a file from email it tels me my coonect speed but the dl library says I am at 28.8.
I wonder if I'd do better if I was connected to just an ISP and no AOL. This is very frustrating. I feel as if I should have just kept the old modem.

BTW: Thanx for the quick response!
