MPEG compression

Tony:
I was wondering if Evan's clips have been compressed. They seem quite large for uncompressed files.

Tony:
I'll download Evan's mpeg, compress them and get them back on Evan's ftp site. I'll rename them with the tm_ included in the file name. If they save space and are clear, you can delete the old ones and rename the links. OK?

MPEG compression

Done! The "dazzle 3 clip has been reduced from nearly 3 meg to 577KB; 4 from 1.5 Meg to 340 KB and #6 from 2 Meg to 546 KB.

I was able to view all the action with very little reduction of viewing quality. Obviously there is some reduction, but for the purpose intended, I'd rather have something that loads in 20 seconds rather than 10 minutes! Let me know what you think.
