Word 97 Security Patch

Post by Dakkon »

Just a little patch, Resolves the "unique" ID that all your Word,Excel and Access documents get. Also there is a patch that removes the current ID allready embedded in your documents.

Read more about it Here

Enjoy !!!

Here's another one, along the same lines of "Somebody's watching you..."

<A HREF="http://www.defendyourprivacy.com"TARGET=_NEW>"The FDIC, the government, and your bank account"</a>

Peace and use cash only,

Oh yea, and I forgot to ask before:

Since that "patch" was created by Microsoft, how do we know that they're not just installing some other kind of hidden identifier when you use the patch? Call me paranoid but I've always been suspicious of automatic installations. I miss the "good ole days" when I could use DOS and copy the files I needed, (and knew what they were for!) There was a time when I actually knew which windows files did what - now - fahgetaboutit!

Peace, and use a typewriter,
Lori

...LOL......
I too once remember a kinder more gentle Windows.......ahhh but thats the past.
I think the new patches use the PIII serial numbers and your bank account information to create a set of prime numbers that has to be divided by another prime number that was arrived at by using your birthday and height multipled by a random non-prime number.
Sounds good to me!!!

"I use a smith-corona typewriter and gold/silver to pay all debits!!!"

if you belive that....
Ask Ted K. <The "uni"bomber> how well anti-technology works.

Have fun and safe computing!!
