New Virus?

Hello Kevin,
Virus hoaxes are common nowadays.
If the mail didn't come from C.E.R.T. or Central Command or another Virus research center I'd put money on it being a hoax.
You can check it out by going to one of these address:
C.E.R.T.
Central Command
McAfee
If they don't have it or know about it I'd say it's a hoax and don't worry.
Plus common sense prevails, I don't EXECUTE files I get in email unless they are from someone I know and trust. Then before they are EXECUTED thye are scanned with 2 virus scanners. Opening a zip file will not infect your computer you have to run or execute the program. like I said common sense prevails I don't know you, you send me a mail with a attachment I delete it end of story. Same thing for melissa types I see a name I know but the subject line is not normal for you I scan it then talk to you and ask you if you sent me a file before I touch it. Little things like that keep you safe.
Take care,
Chuck
