Hello,
By that I mean some one that really understands Access 2k and would be willing to help me get a project to the final stage.
I'll prob. need some Excel help too
Email me so I can explain what I'm trying to do. I'd hate to boar the forum into sleep with the details.
Basicly I'm building a better mouse trap Allen should understand that.
Cheers,
Chuck

I do DAO and ODBC. In my current contract, I am developing a multi-tasking state machine
control processor host in c++ that depends upon an Access database.

I know I posted a response, but can't see it again, even with the new PC.

I just downloaded Netscrape 4.7 from Sun to see what would happen. What a difference in quality of the display. When I first loaded this screen again, fresh from a reboot after installing Netscrape, the same thing -- No see um. After doing a reload, things became clear, including the contents of this page. I remember Netscrape has its own cache in it's own file hierarchy separate from IE, and STILL the problem initially persisted.
I can do that stuff. Easy for me to develop graphical algorithms from any kind of data using c++ (FORTRAN and APL years ago).
Are they writing their own grafix app? I suspect the data is in Access and they are importing it into Excel for it to display it using its graphical tools. Sounds like a lot of work.
What are they writing the code in? The word "macro" to me smells of VB6 or even Excel maybe? I haven't written those types of things for years, but they are pretty simple to do. Excel is a powerful tool.
Forget this software stuff and computers and maybe buy a Westsail 32, put all my belongings into a seabag and go off someplace into the Atlantic. Back to the real world...

It's amazing the different way the Scrape looks at web pages. I just fixed one of mine that looked hokey under the scraper.
I can work almost anywhere in the world, Tony, and Boston is not on my top ten. However, I'm here for family reasons, and as long as my mom needs me to be close, I'll tough it out up here in the northern hinterlands. I'll pass on the offer for Fla this year.

My useful Access 2k knowledge is limited to working with it using SQL queries through MFC plus the regular basic stuff one does in Access itself.
