Why this course is a good precursor to Visual Basic

About three years ago I accepted a six-month contract to write some code and they weren't sure if they were going to do it in C and C++ or in Visual Basic. Until that time I had no Visual Basic skills.

They decided to use VB within a few days after I walked in the door. Visual Microsoft skills as well as C/C++ skills and a book got me up and running, writing professional code in VB within a short time.

The bottom line is that if your motivation to learn some of this and then apply it directly to VB, you have made an inteligent choice. While vastly different programming languages, you'll understand only when you get there.
