How to post picture in message?

Post by Tom Faigle »

I've seen many folks post picutes in a message. I've tried cut and past and that doesn't work. I remember reading somewhere on another UBB site that you had to host the picuture and then link to it somehow. Is this correct? And if so how do you do it?

Once you get the picture up on the web somewhere (host it), you can use html code to link it or use ubb code.

UBB code is much easier. You can find the codes here: http://harry.xpres.net/~gmattson/ubbs/ubbcode.html

Good Luck!

Thanks

I'll test it out this weekend. My ISP made a change over and my website got toasted, and the new server doesn't support the Front Page extentions. (gotta love the cable companies)

Quite nice, Tom!

You might want to consider making the pix smaller, for download time and monitor size reasons.

Up to you

Thanks. When I started riding in '99 I got a base HD 883 Sportster as a first bike. Not EXACTLY what I wanted, but what I could afford, and perfect to learn on. And considering I rode it until I got the '02 FXDL, and sold it for MORE that what I bought it for, it wasn't a bad deal. The FXDL, is ALMOST the PERFECT bike for me. Sits right, looks good (IMHO, and those of many others), rides and handles great, and fits me like a glove. So, the only things I need to do now are some minor tweaks to get it PERFECT, then a few more cosmetic things to go from really nice to super nice. But that's the things about Harley's no matter how nice your bike is ther is one more thing to do to it. Kind of like Improving your martial art. Just a little more work, effort, time, and you'll be a little better. :-)

BTW, yes, I'm working on getting the pictures smaller. The pic was a quick post of one that I had on my web page. When my ISP went for Road Runner to their own service they messed everything up, so I've spent a little time getting everything back together. It's still not all fixed as their support for Front Page isn't 100%, so I still have some work to do. Once I get everything right, I'll get back to scaling some more pictures that I want to post.
