Ted: What do you think about running an FTP server on Uechi-Ryu.Com to make it easy for folks to upload video clips of martial arts for Scott to look at?

An anonymous FTP server? Sounds like a good idea. I'll run it by Sensei Mattson and set it up if he ok's it.

Is there any danger of abuse involved? I remember Harry pulled this feature after he became concerned over security issues.

I know if it is possible to do this safely, Ted's the guy who can pull it off.

Actually, it might be best to setup user accounts. E.G. I send a request to GEM for an FTP user account and Ted, you set one up based on on my forum login and password (or something similar if possible). Anonymous FTp is secure but Harry had a problem with jerks uploading crap and porno to the incoming directories and he had to go in there and clean it up all the time. My advice is to run an FTP server but disallow anonymous logins.
