That's a good one.

I've told people I died before but that was way over the top.

I have a friend who tells them he has a diarrhea and then leaves the phone sitting there.

I don't feel all that bad, to be honest.

I've done telemarketing, and if someone didn't want to talk to me, fine.

But I had a call once from a lawn care company, and I told them up front that I wasn't a big lawn person.

They continued on. "What could be better about your lawn?"

It was the middle of winter. "Well, the snow on it is kind of a drag."

They proceeded to tell me that they were working on expanding into snow removal. "What else?"

"Well, I have two dogs. If there weren't any dog mess on the lawn, that'd be great."

The problem with telemarketers, really, is that they don't listen. I was not interested, and anyone with any sense would have noticed that from the start. If I tell you I'm not a lawn person, I'm not a lawn person, and there's nothing you can do to change my outlook.

Geez. . .
