It is always interesting what foods do well in some places but not others.....Spam in Hawaii??? I remember hearing about this topic years ago in a marketing course.

Example: We love our easy canned soups. Campbell's canned soups did not do well in England but our dried soups sold wonderfully.

I will have to research this further for more examples.

Another example: Americans love loose sugar where the English love sugar cubes.

BTW, sugar cubes are great to have around the house. I gave them to my children when they were small to stop hiccups. :?
