The Purification Ceremony

Post by JohnC »

Lori-san:

Wanted to recommend a great book I read recently called " The Purification Ceremony" by Mark T. Sullivan. ( And No, I do not think this forum needs purification! Yet)

It's a thriller that is richly and brilliantly written. It is about many things including the great outdoors, Indian mysticism, overcoming personal adversity, pushing our personal envelope, etc. Other than the New Age bent where you had to suspend belief or be a true believer, and the extreme violence, it was a great read.

But the most intriguing thing about it is the protaganist heroine, Little Crow.

I just wanted to add this to the list of "good" roles for women, although it is a somewhat oblique, dark, disturbing, thought-provoking and multifaceted role.(Our dark side - remember?)

Go get it ya'll. A very powerful work IMHO.
If you do read it or have read it post your thoughts.

Peace,

JohnC
