Prairie Home Companion's Mother's Day Program is SEXIST

I am writing to display my disgust and my displeasure at the recent Prairie Home Companion Mother's day Program aired today on National Public radio.

The program made it sound like only women take parenting seriously and that men's only interest is in sexual gratification and that men are not responsible as a class of persons with regard to parenting (sometimes true, but certainly not valid as a broad or blanket statement or to be insinuated or implied).

Regarding the recent mother’s day program: although I completely support the notion of granting women (especially mothers) recognition where it is due, I have to wonder if it must be done in a manner so obviously denigrating to men and fathers.

As a nearly life-long listener of NPR and its programs, I shouldn’t be as appalled as I am, except that I have just recently woken up to the fact that one of their main agenda items is specifically the denigration of men and the worship of women without any recognition of women’s faults in any way shape or form and certainly not any recognition of any of men’s achievements or good deeds throughout history.

Many thanks for their efforts to spread misandry (the hatred of men-and yes, I am pretty sure they have never heard of that word before and you will likely not care what it means even if you ever do take the time to find out what it means).

I forwarded a complaint to producers of the show, NPR, and the federal communications commission stating that the program promotes the hatred and contempt of men as a class of persons and i encourage you to complain as well if you find this or other programs deliberately promoting contempt of men or promoting the hatred of men.

Could you at least tell us specifically what they did wrong? Can you maybe have one thread on this supposed male holocaust and not 15? Could you get away from the notion that this is an attack and defend war with "no mercy" being shown by either side? Can we skip the hyperbole about their horrible and pervasive agenda, when I've been listening to NPR recently and find their news to be bland and boring like most news--and incidentally, chiefly concerned with the actions and accomplishments of men, who happen to be the major players in business, politics and so on? Is this some kind of attempt to gloss over every role of women in the entire universe? (No!)

Just relax! Go take a walk with your wife and be happy for a minute. Just because we're tired of hearing the same thread over and over doesn't mean we're unwilling to "talk seriously." Did you, for example, respond to my legitimate reply to one of your other recent threads?

They're going to cover up all achievements by men throughout history! This is possible despite the vast majority of prominent Americans throughout history have been men!

Are you referring to the lack of mercy (as well as reliable citations or logical replies) shown in the "Gang Rape Story is Bogus" thread?

Please, Todd. This is getting ridiculous. I'm not asking for censor, but no one is buying what you're selling and you're starting to reach, especially with the degree that you're pushing it. Just look back at the things you are writing:

The talking started, you had very little to offer that couldn't be discredited or overlooked on the topic. Please research better or find a new topic.
