Nope, no patterns anywhere to justify profiling!

To ensure we Americans never offend anyone, particularly fanatics intent on killing us, airport security screeners will no longer be allowed to profile certain people. They must conduct random searches of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, Secret Service agents who are members of the President's security detail, 85-year old Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of Honor winning former
Governors.

Let's also make sure that our classroom teachers blame no one for the 9/11 disaster. It is far better that our children grow up believing that perhaps we, as a nation, somehow deserved what happened on that
fateful day. Certainly we should never hint that it was carried out by Muslim male activists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40.

Let's send this to as many people as we can so that the NEA and the dunder -headed attorneys and judges that want to thwart common sense feel doubly ashamed of themselves.

The trouble is identifying the extremists. Sure would be nice if they had it stamped on their pasports. And that's why we have intelligence overseas. But the fact is they don't carry their AK-47's into the airports.

What's your next option? Why, we interrogate all the Muslim men. Not all the islamic people, mind you, because some of those are white (like the american taliban) and not all muslims are islamic. You target their appearance and subject them to search, which by the way, is something we ought to be doing to everyone anyway. What does this get us?

First, it brings back recent memories of police profiling blacks and how that activity was found unconstitutional.

Then it brings back more distant memories of the american concentration camps in which Japanese-american people were imprisoned because of what they looked like or where they came from.

After that it demolishes the basic rights and freedoms we hold dear as americans, sets a precedent for making whatever group comes along next as suspect to be declared second class citizens, and provokes two important responses from islamic folk:

The ones who weren't previously our enemies recognize that american happily adapted the concept of USA vs Islam, targeting them when they've done nothing wrong, and bolstering the ranks of the terrorists, which is exactly what they wanted all along.

The ones who planned the 9/11 attacks chuckle because the americans, while ostensibly trying to preserve their nation's freedoms, are actually destroying them on their own.

Some other questions worth answering:

In 1995 in Oklahoma, 168 innocent people were blown to bits by:

a) kermit the frog
b) people who do competing martial arts styles
c) muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40
d) white, american military associated, homegrown extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40.

In 1789, the founders approved all but which of the following amendments to the constitution?

a) Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
b) The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
c) No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.
d) search the following individuals without cause: muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17-40.

The problem with this is it ignores the crimes committed by non-muslims.

Do we have a breakdown of all the crimes committed in the United States by religion? By idealogy? By skin color? By national origin?

By portraying <BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote
Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40.
as the only group that commits shocking crimes is as much as an afront as saying that only illegal immigrants do so, or Blacks, or Pro-lifers or whomever.

<BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote

No, we should never offend law-abiding Americans. Which is why when we search, we search at random.

Profiling offends lots of people, and not only the people being profiled.

Did David Talley get offended when he was (in his mind, and maybe he was) profiled flying home from Summer Camp this year?

What about those three Muslim males mostly between the ages of 17 and 40 stopped in Florida and searched...for 17 hours? The law enforcement community has been backpedalling on that case ever since.

<BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote:</font><HR> They must conduct random searches of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, Secret Service agents who are members of the President's security detail, 85-year old Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of Honor winning former

Yes, they must conduct random searches. And if these people are caught in the mix, so be it. What makes them somehow exempt? The aforementioned people do not have any special "protection" from law enforcement that the rest of us, especially the 17-40 y.o. Muslims, don't also have.

History will show that 19 Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40 hijacked the 9/11 planes and did their cowardly acts. I'd really[/b/] like to hear of any credible, believable person or group espousing anything different.

But...

Are their actions generalizable to all Muslim males mostly between the ages of 17 and 40? How many Muslim males are in the US Armed Forces? Better yet, how many are in the US Armed Forces in Afghanistan, fighting against the Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40?

<BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote

Again, what cedible group or person belives this?

WHo are these people? Which dunder -headed attorneys and judges are these?

Are these the same dunder -headed attorneys and judges who are fighting for and ruling for the "enemy combatant" status, ruling it legal to hold American citizens incommunicado?

Are these the same dunder -headed attorneys and judges who will (some day real soon) defend the onerous USA Patriot Act in court?

Again, which dunder -headed attorneys and judges is the author referring to?

Yes, I do find the aboce intersting.

Interestingly sad, provocative and skewed towards close-mindedness.
