When doing the double arm thrust drill, elevate the arms slightly to the sanchin arm position after 5 or 6 double thrusts. Just keep that thrusting rhythm going as you change arm levels. You want the same feeling when doing the sanchin thrust as you have in the double arm thrust. Keep it going for a good number of thrusts. Your sanchin thrust will begin to "take off". Hold on to it, because it will feel different to you. Do this drill. Let me know the results please. -------Happy Trails-------- Art Rabesa

This is the main drill I use to strengthen the power base. From here you can elevate the double thrusts to sanchin thrust level. Go up and down with the double thrusts. This drill will give you amazing thrusting quickness and power. Make it a daily drill. Just get up from your chair and fire out 15 or 20 any time of the day. Do not have to go to the dojo to do this. After a few weeks of doing this drill, you'll notice the results. Stay with it. -------Happy Trails ----Art
