Age slowing you down?

Postby C. J. Rupert Juta » Fri Feb 01, 2008 4:22 pm

There are times when sportspeople think that age is slowing them down, when in fact it is not age, but a disorder, which can be treated.

If you suffer from one or more, or all of the following symptoms, then they may be treatable. They include nervousness and weakness, hypersensitivity, possible scrawniness, coughs and eructations, acidity, anaemia and sleeplessness. There may be a feeling of being weakened by age or overwork. There can be a dread of people, slow comprehension, loathing of life, hair falling out, and convulsive coughing fits. There can be tearing headaches and dizziness, burning on going to the toilet, itches and asthma, palpitations and cramps.

The remedy is Homeopathic Ambra Grisea, manufactured from secretions of whales.

Sounds interesting, but a bit weird. Don't think I can get this at my local CVS. Where do you suggest obtaining it???

This shot gun approach to the symptoms of a supposed but un-named ailment makes it seem like the questions designed to create the feeling of these symptoms in you...so he can tout his product.

Numerous pharmacies/chemists stock Homeopathic remedies, and some have whole sections dedicated to them. Often you can find a resident Homeopath in the chemist, who will advise. You can also order online from a number of different manufacturers. I deal with Helios and the remedies arrive the following day (UK).

Symptoms and remedies.

Postby C. J. Rupert Juta » Sun Feb 03, 2008 3:36 pm

The human body is a microcosm which reflects internal disorders by exhibiting various symptoms. Different bodies reflect a different number of symptoms. Patients usually come in with lists of symptoms, and a good (listening) Homeopath collects these and uses them to look for the remedy. Sometimes there are two or more disorders. In the Western world, patients very frequently overlook symptoms because they fail to see how they can all be related to some internal dis-ease or disorder. Remedies can often treat quite a number of symptoms. It is unfortunate to see people thinking in terms of "touting products", instead of thinking in terms of healing, care and respect for the healing arts. This column is is here to assist people in healing themselves.

Greetings. Few questions:

Have we any data that this homeopathic therapy works? What is it?

Is this obtained from whales without injuring them? We should work to prevent the events depicted in Star Trek IV ;)

Is this a typical homeopathic remedy in which the whale secretion is diluted to the point it is not detectable?

Do you have any thoughts about "treating symptoms" vs. treating the underlying disorder? Example: we can take tylenol for fever from strep throat, or we can take a water diluted out from a substance known to cause fever, or we can take penicillin, killing the strep and reducing the risk of complications.
