There are a variety of sources, including various threads on this forum, regarding the various books that have been written about Uechi Ryu, but I haven't seen anything (here or on other websites) that compiles the various magazine articles about Uechi Ryu.

I started compiling a list using the articles I am familiar with, which is presented below. This list includes:
- Articles specifically about Uechi Ryu or Uechi Ryu practitioners
- Articles not specifically about Uechi Ryu but in which Uechi Ryu is a significant component
- Articles written by Uechi Ryu practitioners

Does anyone have any info on other articles that they can add to this list, or details to fill in the blanks on the ones listed below?

Problem is now I have to read all those.
Folks charge real high prices on E-bay for those magazines.

Mostly I think it's real fun to see pictures of guys I know in the old days.

Public libraries tend to carry Black Belt, but the other mags are much harder to come by.

Who retains the copyright on those old articles Sensei?
Possibly they could be scanned and added to a section of the site with the authors permission.

I believe the owners of the magazines usually hold the copyright of the articles published in those magazines.

The magazine may hold the copyright on the whole article (ie including illustrations), but the copyright of the text is usually held by the author, or at least that is what is I believe about my own scribblings.

Typically, a writer only grants "first serial rights" to a publication; the writer maintains ownership. They must grant permission to use the material.

I wrote a small article for Black Belt magazine that was published in Feb. 1995. "Are you tough enough for Uechi-ryu Karate?" I'd like to point out that was not my original title. I pretty much hate that one but it is the job of these magazines to create tension and such.
