90% or 60%

Post by AAAhmed46 »

I have read that 90% of fights end up on the ground. HOWEVER, arn't those very same statistics taken from police surveys? And are the police not trying to Restrain thier suspects most of the time instead of smashing thier faces in? So wouldn't restraining a struggling suspect almost always end of on the ground considering you cant smash thier heads in?

Make no mistake, learning ground fighting is a must, i mean, what will someone skilled in just striking arts do if someone tackled him to the floor? All his striking skill will be useless.

But isnt this statistic exaggerated?

I think it`s exagerated , but not nearly as much as youd think .

And it depends what they mean goes to the ground , They might even include someone being knocked out and falling down .....

But some basic ground knowledge is esential IMHO even if it`s just so you can survive and get free and up on your feet .
