Sitting here in the city, trapped at my desktop, papers to grade, thesis I am supposed to be working on, temp about 98 with humidity near "rainfall" levels.

Now I get to sit here and sob in envy as well.

(of course I mean "sob" in a macho, tough, manly fashion

)

Thanks all.

A wonderful trip full of clean air, canoeing on the lake, a bald eagle sighting, deer, chipmonks who are just hysterical as they reach for peanuts, zooming, chittering hummingbirds, and a hoseback ride up the mountain with a steak dinner at the summer.

hmm...why do I live in DC?

Ah well. Good to be home and it was just a wonderful, wonderful trip.

If you've never been to the North Shore of Minnesota I hope you go. It is beautiful country. Ya know...it's greeaat.
