Test your eyes
Count every "F" in the following text:
FINISHED FILES ARE THE RE-
SULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTI-
FIC STUDY COMBINED WITH
THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS...
(SEE BELOW)
HOW MANY ?
3?
WRONG, THERE ARE 6 -- no joke.
READ IT AGAIN !
The reasoning behind is further down.
The brain cannot process "OF".
Incredible or what? Go back and look again!!
Anyone who counts all 6 "F's" on the first go is a genius.
Three is normal, four is quite rare.

ALZHEIMER'S EYE TEST

"Do or do not. there is no try!"
"Do or do not. there is no try!"
It might have something to do with the word shape and how we read things. where "of" is a short little word.. its much like to, or, is....
I know when I read I don't pay much attention to the little words but assume or imply them from the bigger words and the sentence structure and the context of the sentence..
I don't know if anyone else does this or not.
Definatly interesting as I counted three
Chris

thanks GEM...failed I did
I even focused on the "f" words
Guess I`m ready for "Assisted Care Facility" note:
not politically incorrect "Nursing Home". Hmmmm...when your children ask if you need "assistance" really beware

I only saw
3 as well. Goes with the territory. I try to be careful when typing... and use a spellchecker often, but when reading I only "scan".
I have a feeling Jay does lots of "proofreading" and looking at many documents before they are released, in his job. I don't really think the test has anything to do with anything, other than how one reads.
