Danish boycott.

This is Dave Young's Forum.
Can you really bridge the gap between reality and training? Between traditional karate and real world encounters? Absolutely, we will address in this forum why this transition is necessary and critical for survival, and provide suggestions on how to do this correctly. So come in and feel welcomed, but leave your egos at the door!

Danish boycott.

Post by AAAhmed46 »

By now you probably know about the pictures the danish newspaper printed right?

Yeah, boycotts are pretty.....extreme.

But i was offended when i saw those.

Very offended.

Though christianity is often harped on BADLY by the media. That doesnt mean it's right. Infact, any muslims who is properly educated in islam and actually delves into the meanings would shake his head at any bad drawing or depiction of jesus.
Those artists knew full well just how sensitive muslims are right now, knew full well how they would react, if they knew what they were doing.

That said, i think muslims really have made fools of themselves.

Again.

Hey I think it`s fair enought to be annoyed at this , if it`s against your faith then it makes sense ....

but idiots roaming the streets even in London , chanting death threats , and death to anyone that mocks islam ....

what a joke , I cant take these people serious until they get a grip on reality .

there not creating allies , just feeding ammunition to there detractors .

peacefull protest might be a good idea .

I don't buy anything Danish except baby back ribs... quess I can give them up.

I'm not much into religion or political correctness, but sounds to me like someone crossed the line.

I understand the Danes are also claiming a Canadian Island in the North. Sounds like they are out to offend everyone.

It's very much like a right-to-lifer bombing an abortion clinic, or a PETA person assassinating the CEO of a surgical supply company.

Bingo!

Idiots protesting idiots. They deserve each other.

It wouldn't hurt to borrow from the book of Ghandi or MLK.

IM surprised at how....understanding people are here.

On bullshido, people are saying my religion is evil that: "Islam is the wing chun of religions" and wing chun doesnt get treated well at bullshido.

Breaking news:
Danish embassy in Libanon is under attack, on fire.

Wow, this isnt helping our image.

Again making fools of ourselves......
EDIT: Never mind, the fire hose is being used by the DEMONSTRATORS.

No no. You had it right the first time with the part about the demonstrators - worldwide - making fools out of themselves.

we had demonstrators down here too , but they were orderly and dignified , and got quite a bit of support and understanding in the process.

I wonder if such a reaction would have happened prior to the war in iraq or 9/11?

The atmosphere was already very electric i guess.

Hmm, thats a good question marcus.

Assuming they did, i personally doubt the reaction would be this bad.

Probably have alot of noise, but i dont think people were as on edge as they are now.

I agree Adam , folks sensibilities have been stretched too thin , just another reason everyone should take a little more care .
