Game 5 is Wednesday night in basketball-loving Raleigh, on the cusp of putting a different kind of championship on ice.

Hey, I thought you Canucks knew how to play ice hockey. What's up letting them Carolinians from The South kick yer ass like that?

Next thing you know they'll be passing out mint julips when the zambone makes its rounds. 8)

Last time I checked Bill that team is mostly made of Canucks including a couple from Edmonton.

13 % of NHL players are Americans, so unless they all play in Carolina I'd suspect the Oilers lost by one goal to a bunch of Canadians and a handfull of Europeans.

But we are still in mourning over the lost

I think the Oliers need to be more phyiscally dominant. I'm all for letting Georges Laraque take the opening face off next game. : 8O multi:

It has been a good series, Cam Ward has been exceptional. Even if the oilers faulter and don't come back and win the cup we have been blessed with some great hockey!

Yep... And half of major league baseball is people with Spanish as a first language and a native country south of the Rio Grande.

And a Chrysler 300 is assembled in Ontario. Outsourcing is the norm in business these days.

But it's still a Chrysler. And it's still the Boston Red Sox.

And it's still Carolina's hockey team! Next thing you know, them imports from Edmonton will be talking with a drawl. ;)

John glad to see that storm left you our of harms way!

3/2 end of the first. oilers have to stay out of the sin bin. It's encouraging they are finally capitalising on the power play. About time!

I guess they listened to you... how about last night's game for physically dominant? Two more games like that, and there won't be any Hurricanes left to take the ice. What an awesome game.

Better Beards

Torres and Fernando Pisani have the best beards. Oiler forcheck weakens Carolina will. Oilers 4 Hurricanes 0. Stanley Cup Game Seven on Monday. Fasten your seat belts.
There is much to make of every moment.

I am trying to figure out how to pull that off.

The game tonight was SOOOOOOOOOOO good.

Solid body shots, good puck control, excellent goal tending (both sides despite the score) and lovely plays.
