The Following 3 are high in my view:



The Tuskegee Airmen (1995): Powerful, realistic, informative on superior pilots in WW II and their struggle for acceptance.

Objective Burma (1945): I met friend of my Dad's, a slight [5' 6"] white haired 'young man' in his thirties in 1955, a bellhop at the old Statler Hotel in Boston who served with Merrill's Maurauders; nearly killed in hand-to-hand combat with Japanese infantry ["rats the size of Dachshunds"]; operated on by the famous British surgeon Seagrave who saved his arm [scar along the length of his left bicept]. He considered that this movie gavea feeling of being there.

Gung Ho (1943): Story of Col. Carlson's 2nd Raider Battalion's raid on Makin Island from submarine. [even number for West Coast; 1st Raiders on Guadal Canal -East Coast]. WW II Warner Brothers Patriotic movie. Relative in Corps said it was still good on a great deal of the facts.

Would that there would be a renaissance of such Films that glorify our wonderful troops we have who are protecting our country and safety - Hollow-Wood [sic] with their Anti-American Lefists will not be a likely source, but we can hope.

I don't mean to imply that Hollywood is without its biases, but haven't we seen a variety of good, recent (flags of our fathers, letters from iwo jima) or semi recent (black hawk & private ryan) movies, as well as some movies largely starring the troops themselves (gunner palace and others)?

Boys in Company C was a really good movie.
