Shed a little light...will do your soul some good.

Post by chef »

You know there are some people that light up a room when they walk in...and others that light up the room when they leave.

I always want to be someone who lights up a room and am inspired by those that have that innate ability to do so.

We recently had a new person come into Bill's dojo who does that very thing (actually, Bill has been blessed to have two like that, Sue is another bright light). Crystal came in recently and is a force to be reckoned for one so young. She has lived large and more years that her youthful 20 something age belies.

She is so encouraging, thoughtful, kind, generous, loving, compassionate. The list goes on....and, on top of that, she has such a zest for life, martial arts, and people.

She called me and left a message at my work this morning. She knows I need surgery on my knee and that I am putting it off to paint my living room first...so she called to offer her and her husband's service in painting my room or anything else I may need. Awesome gesture!

What a much needed breath of fresh air! Heck, that girl is already recruiting students for Bill, as she teaches classes at the fitness center where we meet.

She is a radiant light. May I grow old and light up many rooms like that in my life time.

What a keeper! Crystal...perfect name, reflecting much light.

Regards,
Vicki

PS...thank you, Bill, for introducing me to her.

I think a more accurate count would be three, my humble friend.

I have much I could say about Crystal, Sue, and last but not least Miss Vicki. But their actions and their personalities speak way more than I ever could.

What often happens in life is that Daniels find Miyagis. And each time that happens, a star sparkles in heaven.

I am blessed.
