Healing Soup ~Crys Specailty~

Boil 2 packs of chicken breasts for 1 hour, in water
Take enough canned Chicken broth and pour back up to 1/2 inch away from the top of pot
Throw in any of your favorite veggies and continue boiling for 30 minutes
add a pinch of lemon pepper, onion powder and parsley
Next fill pot back up to 1/2 inch of water
Pour in a half bag of egg noodles
boil for another 15 minutes

This will turn out to be a stew and very tender and juicy.

Has always helped me get through anything with a low immune system!

Enjoy!
~Crys~

Hi Crys, welcome to Chow For Now :) I hope you'll post a few things here!!!

I'm a firm believer in chicken soup (not just for the soul).

My mom always gave it to me when I was a kid (she always threw in a few bay leaves for good measure - just to bring out the healing properties I guess), and it was always the homemade stuff...never store bought!!!

Here's an interesting article on the healing powers of chicken soup.

Hi Mary!

Thank you so much for the article. I use Bay leaves at times too. Though till now I never knew what they were really for. I just like the taste they bring out.

It is amazing how all these ingredients can make one feel 100% better with in days. I really believe it is one of the main reasons I am still alive. Stubborness plays a big part in that too

I actually may be making some tonight after I pick my daughter up since the weather is taking a toll on me.

Once I get time I will send more awesome recipes out for everyone!

Thanks again!
~Crys~
