One critique i have of this is that, even if evidence is NOT credible, can't blame anyone for being jumpy to random informants for terrorist threats. Better safe then sorry.

Still, he presents a strong arguement.

I know many here have strong arguements for the otherside, which is why im posting this.

What are your views on this? How is he wrong or right?

Sigh...

Keith Oberman is looking for his Pulitzer Prize in journalism. Keep looking, Keith.

Bashing? Yep, lots of it.

Substance? Short on it. I found the whole "plot" a bit difficult to follow.

Meanwhile, there's plenty of substance to trial attorneys from the ACLU chomping at the bit to get at the telecom industry and what they've been sniffing out of our communications.

What conspiracy theorist wouldn't want to know? ;)

The real problem here is that there is no way to win.

If people think "looks weird--but I might get sued" so they say nothing---sooner or later somebody is going to get killed---and THEN your going to hear about how people "don't care' and they "are not doing enough."

The ACLU is great about hypothetical "dangers" its just that once they hamstring everyone else---they are nowhere to be found.

Everything you need to know about the ACLU is this---they led the charge to keep the police from doing random serches of peoples backpacks/bags on subway---fought it HARD.

Yet, if you go to the ACLU HQ/offices in New York----they search your backpacks and bags........ 8O

Sure they have a really finely parsed explination---but the bottom line is that they feel YOUR life and saftey is not as important as a largely abstract principle.
THIER life and safety however is to be protected using the SAME means they DENY the general public.
Forget #6, you are now serving nonsense.
